From April 24-May 3, Albuquerque Little Theatre will be bringing one of the best-loved children’s books to the stage, with their exciting production of Pinkalicious- The Musical. Based on the popular children’s book Pinkalicious by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann, the musical brings to life the character of Pinkalicious -- a little girl who loves all things pink. When Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes (despite warnings from her parents), she finds herself in the doctor’s office with “Pinkititus” -- a condition that turns her pink from head to toe. Only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament … making for a funny, heartwarming musical adventure for families to share – with some important lessons learned along the way.
Pinkalicious – The Musical will be on stage at the Albuquerque Little Theatre located at 224 San Pasquala SW Albuquerque, NM. Showtimes for the production, which is presented by the ALT Family Theatre Series, in cooperation with the Growing Stage, are Fridays at 7:30 pm and Saturdays/Sundays at 2 pm. In addition, through a Grant program made possible by Target and The Hancock Family Foundation, the Albuquerque Little Theatre will be offering special Student Matinee performances of Pinkalicious – The Musical. These performances will be offered on Tuesday April 28 and Thursday April 30, at both 10 am and 12:30 pm. There are a limited number of free tickets available for classrooms as part of this Grant program, which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
